A partir de la correspondencia mantenida entre Diego de Benavides, virrey del Perú entre 1660 y 1666, y sus hermanos radicados en la Corte de Madrid, este articulo analiza la forma en que en ese tiempo son presentadas y valoradas las prácticas asociadas a la corrupción. El texto se sitúa en un cruce entre historia social y cult nceptos y de las palabras se vincula con las dinámicas sociales.This article analyses how practices linked to corruption are presented and judged through the letters exchanged between Diego de Benavides, viceroy of Peru (1660 - 1666), and his brothers at the Court in Madrid.
